Keep Your Eyes on Texas - Follow Up

I sent out a short note this morning about warnings about a peak electricity demand today in Texas. End of day and it was a non-event. The demand was lowered than predicted and there were no problems.

Demand

The demand was considerably less than the Day-Ahead Forecast.

Prices

The electricity prices were also much lower than forecasted following less demand.

Wind and Solar

Wind and solar performed at levels less than forecasted throughout the day, but with the lower demand, there was no impact.
